Faraz Imran Poem

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at the stature of my beloved

The unthinkable heights he attained where even the angel Jibraeel failed to Ascend

The imaam of all the Ambiya and the Prince of Mankind from the beginning to the end
Whose blessed name is engraved on the Arsh of Allah itself, a blessing none can ever comprehend

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at the beauty of my beloved

The radiance of his face would be such that Aisha radiallahu anha would find what she had lost as he would enter
Even the Moon in its full glory would shy away and the stars would lose their lustre
As if carved in a way he had desired and filled with noor, how graceful the beloved of Allah was, I can't but wonder.

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at the humility of my beloved

The prince of both worlds yet preferred to remain forever empty handed
The cleaver of the Moon with a finger yet days on end hungry and most contented
Endowed with the power to move mountains of gold, but in patched up clothes, simple & discounted

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at the beautiful character of my beloved

Always patient with a pleasant smile amidst all hardship and tribulations
Full of forgiveness for all and winning over hearts with his pleasant disposition
A quality of his praised by the Quran, for it needs no further elucidation.

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at the benevolence of my beloved

He would seek forgiveness for us seventy times and even in the last days he never forgot you & me
Yet, we are dazzled by false celebrities and care less to follow the enlightened ways of our beloved Nabi
Will you forget the one who will on yaumul Qiyamah plead for us, ya Rabbi Ummati, ya Rabbi Ummati ?

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad

I wonder at myself & you, the ummah of my beloved

The Master called us his brothers, but we are unaware of his blessed life & mission-what a shame
We say our prayers are not answered, but the reality is our distance from his Sunnah is only to blame
Let us practice and propagate his blessed Sunnah and send salawaat upon him every moment for even Allah swt and His Angels do the same

My lips move Salli Ala Muhammad
My heart beats Salli Ala Muhammad
My eyes weep Salli Ala Muhammad
